Tash's #TipTuesday | DIY Banana Peel Remedy to Lighten Dark Circles Under Your Eyes | Beauty

Alas, some people are born with dark circles under their eyes (genetics) and these only become more noticeable as your skin ages and loses its elasticity. Irritants such as allergies (food or dust), cigarette smoke and other pollutants can also cause dark circles, by triggering the release of chemicals in the body which enlarge the blood vessels in and around your eyes, in a vain attempt to dilute the aggravating substance. As blood enters these vessels, it darkens the area under the skin's surface and puffs it up. Lack of sleep is also a major contributing factor and you'll find when you catch up on that lost sleep or start sleeping better, the circles will disappear.

In the interim, use a concealer to hide those beasts and also try this super all-natural simple method to get rid of those unwanted dark circles.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED?

• Banana peels

• ScissorsOrganic Apple Cider

HOW TO MAKE & USE?

1. Remove the peel from the banana.

2. Cut into sizes that can fit under each of your eyes.

3. Place the banana peel pieces, soft side down under and/or over each of your eyes.

4. Lie down, relax and let the peels do their thang for 30 minutes.

5. Then rinse your eyes (cold water in the morning, lukewarm water at night)

6. If your dark circles are severe, try and do this every night (or day, but at night is better methinks).

7. Store the remaining pieces in the fridge to use again.
